DevSecOps Engineer

Day-rate contract opportunity for a DevSecOps Engineer to join an established IT services company delivering a government programme. The wider team includes cloud engineers and architects, so this role is highly focused on the DevOps and pipeline side, with a strong emphasis on embedding security throughout the delivery lifecycle. You’ll be hands-on with CI/CD, automation and platform security within a Microsoft-based environment.

Responsibilities:

• Own and enhance secure CI/CD pipelines, embedding security controls throughout the DevOps lifecycle
• Implement DevSecOps practices rather than general cloud engineering or architecture work
• Build, maintain and secure pipelines using Azure DevOps
• Integrate security tooling into pipelines (code scanning, container scanning, secrets management, etc.)
• Work closely with developers, cloud engineers and architects to enable secure, automated delivery
• Support and secure containerised workloads running on Kubernetes
• Drive best practices around DevOps automation, monitoring and security compliance

Required Experience:

• Strong hands-on DevOps / DevSecOps experience (not cloud architecture–focused)
• Azure DevOps (CI/CD pipelines, automation, repos)
• Proven experience embedding security into DevOps pipelines
• Kubernetes experience (hands-on preferred)
• Microsoft technology stack background
• CKA certification is beneficial to have
